BRUINS HOST PHILLY ON SATURDAY, MATCHUP AGAINST WEST'S BEST LOOMS: The Black & Gold will play the Flyers for the second time in four days on Saturday, February 7 in a 1:00 p.m. matinee start at the TD Banknorth Garden. The Bruins captured the first meeting of the season between the two clubs in Philadelphia on Wednesday, 3-1.

The Western Conference leading Sharks visit Boston on Tuesday in a matchup that features the two top teams points-wise in the NHL. The Bruins with 84 points lead the league, while San Jose is in the second spot with 78, although they have played four fewer games than the B's. Tuesday’s contest is the first and only game between the Bruins and Sharks this season.

P.J.'S PAJAMA DRIVE: Bruins forward P.J. Axelsson kicked off the second annual "P.J.'s Pajama Drive" on Monday, February 2. This year, the Drive has partnered with local schools, BJ's Wholesale Club and Cradles to Crayons to collect pajamas for children in need throughout Massachusetts. To increase community participation, Axelsson plans to visit the newest BJ's Wholesale location in Revere on Wednesday, February 11. Each person that donates a pair of pajamas will have the opportunity to meet Axelsson and get his autograph. For more information on the Drive and how to donate, visit

B'S AND THE BLAZERS: Bruin forward Shawn Thornton will participate in the ceremonial faceoff at the Boston Blazers/New York Titans game on Saturday night, February 7 at the TD Banknorth Garden. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m. ET.

SEASON TICKET RENEWALS: Current Bruins Season Ticket Holders will be able to renew their Season Tickets for the 2009-2010 NHL season beginning the week of February 16. During this process, 99% of the seats for Bruins games will remain at the same price, or will be lower than the published Season Ticket prices for this season.

For current Boston Bruins Season Ticket Holders, 95% of the seat locations in the TD Banknorth Garden will have no increase in price over the 2008-2009 published Season Ticket prices, 4% of the seats will see a decrease in price versus 2008-2009 published prices and only the Glass seats will see an increase in price for next season over this season’s published prices.

"BRU FEST" RETURNS: On Thursday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 31 the Boston Bruins will hold their third and fourth Bru Fest events of the 2008-09 season sponsored by Boston’s own Samuel Adams brewery.

The outdoor festivities will start at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m. (with last call at 6:45 p.m.) in the West Plaza outside of the TD Banknorth Garden. Tickets to Bru Fest can be purchased online at and cost $45.00. The $45.00 covers admission to the Bru Fest party, a voucher for one free beer or free soda, discounted concessions and a ticket to that evening's Bruins home game. The B's take on the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. ET and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET.


With Chuck Kobasew netting his 10th goal on Thursday against Ottawa, the Bruins now have a NHL-best 9 players with ten-or-more goals (Savard, Krejci, Kessel, Wideman, Ryder, Wheeler, Chara, Lucic, Kobasew). There are eight teams tied for second in the league with seven ten-or-more goal scorers (Buffalo, Detroit, Edmonton, Florida, New Jersey, San Jose, Toronto, Washington).

The Bruins hold the NHL record for 20-or-more goal scorers in a season with 11 players, set during the 1977-78 season (McNab, O'Reilly, Schmautz, Jonathan, Ratelle, Middleton, Cashman, Sheppard, Park, Marcotte, Miller).
