As of February 22nd, the Bruins currently had the sixth best road record in the NHL and second best road record in the Eastern Conference with 37 points, eight off the league pace set by Detroit (45) and five off the conference pace set by Montreal (42).
The NHL Trade Deadline is Tuesday, February 26. Last year the Bruins made two moves on Deadline Day, acquiring defenseman Aaron Ward (from the New York Rangers for Paul Mara) and defenseman Dennis Wideman (from the St. Louis Blues for Brad Boyes).

CHARITY AUCTION RESULTS:
On Sunday, February 17 the Boston Bruins Foundation hosted its 9th Annual Boston Bruins Charity Auction Presented by TD Banknorth. The event was well attended with over 250 people turning out at Mantra Restaurant in downtown Boston. The event raised over $150,000 which will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Travis Roy Foundation.
The event, attended by the entire Boston Bruins roster and coaching staff, featured a variety of silent auction items which including sports memorabilia, gift certificates to top-of-the-line golf courses and restaurants, and much more!
The much anticipated live auction featured unique packages such as:
"An Evening with a Legend" - package included a suite for twenty-one people for the March 27th Boston Bruins home game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. Prior to the game Bruins hall of fame winger Cam Neely will stop by for a meet and greet with the winner and their guests. The winning bid for this package was $5,500.
"Pasta with Patrice" - The winning bidder and four friends will join Bruins pivot Patrice Bergeron
at Nebo restaurant for a pasta cooking class! The group will learn the secrets to making classic fresh pasta dishes from two of the cities finest chefs. The item was auctioned off twice for $2,500 each.
"Welcome to the Show" - This once in a life-time opportunity allows for a child to take the ice at the TD Banknorth Garden as he or she will stand on the blue line shoulder-to-shoulder with their favorite Boston Bruins during the singing of the national anthem. Winner will also receive a personalized Bruins jersey to wear on the night of the game. The winning bid for this package was $4,500.
"Manzanillo, Mexico" - The winner and nine guests will enjoy a six-night, seven-day stay in Manzanillo, Mexico in their very own 10,000 square foot private villa! The private Villa, which has five full time staff, features two pools, an open palapa bar, four sundecks, five exotic master suites, a private beach, and two world class golf courses just down the road! This package was auctioned off twice at an amazing $25,000 each!

will visit Eliot Elementary School from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in Boston's North End (16 Charter Street, Boston, MA 02113) to participate in ReadBoston's "Stick With It- Reading and Writing" Essay Contest. The Stick With It- Reading and Writing program encourages students in 3rd-5th grades in the Boston Public School Systems to write a short essay answering the question, "What would you do if you were a grown-up for one day?" poster. The grand prize winner of the essay contest will be notified at the end of March and will win a family four pack of tickets for the Saturday, April 5th Boston Bruins home game at the TD Banknorth Garden, the opportunity to sit on the Bruins bench and an official team autographed Boston Bruins jersey.
ReadBoston, an organization working to have children reading at grade level by the completion of third grade, has been working in Boston since 1995. Boston Bruins' forward, P.J. Axelsson invites you to P.J.'s Pajama Party during the Bruins game on Saturday, March 1st at 1pm. Boston Bruins wives and volunteers from Cradles to Crayons will be collecting NEW and UNUSED pajamas at turnstiles as fans enter the game. Fans are encouraged to wear their pajamas and to bring a new pair of pajamas to donate! Please help P.J. and Cradles to Crayons provide these basic essentials to those children in need!
The Boston Bruins and the New England Sports Museum have partnered to present the Stand Strong Character Search field trip program. During the morning of select Boston Bruins home game, field trip program students participate in a scavenger hunt designed to guide them through the museum and encourage them to utilize interactive exhibits and to examine artifacts. Interpretive panels relating to character in sports are spread through out the Museum. Staff leads students through a discussion of the concepts of Determination, Courage, Fairness, Teamwork, and Responsibility.
The Boston Bruins have partnered with Village Automotive Group for their Keys to Success program. The program aims to provide high school administrators with the tools to motivate students to achieve academic success. Students have the chance to qualify for various prizes by exemplifying achievement of success in areas such as grade point average, improved attendance, tutoring, and volunteer work.
