Phil Kessel at the 2006 Draft

On Friday, June 22nd the Boston Bruins will hold a draft party from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Tequila Rain bar and dance club within the Jillian's entertainment complex on the corner of Ipswich and Lansdowne Streets (across from Fenway Park) as the team welcomes the newest member of the organization.

The event is 21+ and is free to attend.

Tim Thomas, Mark Mowers and NESN's Dale Arnold will be there to host the pre-draft festivities as the Black & Gold prepare to take another step forward in their pursuit of Lord Stanley's Cup.

That evening, the B's, who hold the eight-overall pick in the 2007 Entry Draft, will begin their preparations for the 2007-08 season and have an excellent chance at picking a very, very talented player to add to their already gifted, and youthful, roster.

The first round of the draft begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on Versus.
