BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, June 1, that the team has signed defenseman Linus Arnesson to an entry-level contract.
In the 2013-14 campaign, Arnesson skated in 44 games for Djurgarden in the Allsvenskan league where he tallied one goal and five assists with a plus-two rating and 36 penalty minutes. Arnesson also played in six postseason games for Djurgarden this season.
The blueliner also represented Team Sweden in World Juniors, where he tacked on two assists in seven contests.
The 6'1'', 188-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden was drafted by Boston in the second round (60th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Following being drafted by Boston, Arnesson participated in the Bruins annual Development Camp in July of 2013.
