Boston Bruins Recall Defenseman Zach Trotman from the Providence Bruins

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Thursday, November 20, that the club has recalled defenseman Zach Trotman from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Trotman is expected to join the Bruins for their 11:00  am practice at TD Garden on Thursday and travel with the team on their upcoming trip to Columbus.

Trotman has skated in nine games for Boston this season, notching two assists, with one coming against the Ottawa Senators on November 1 and other against the Minnesota Wild on October 28.  In his NHL career, Trotman has appeared in 11 games for Boston.

Prior to joining Boston this season, Trotman had skated in five games for Providence, tallying one assist. The 24-year-old blueliner has skated in a total of 115 games with Providence from 2011-2014, picking up 11 goals and 33 assists for 44 points.

The 6’3'', 219-pound native of Noblesville, Indiana was drafted by the Bruins in the seventh round (210th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
