BOSTON -The Boston Bruins have issued the following update on Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort:

On November 3, Forbort underwent a successful open reduction and internal fixation surgery on his right middle finger. The procedure was performed by Dr. Matt Leibman at MGB. The expected recovery time is four to six weeks.
