Thursday, June 21st, at Tremont Street's Underbar, the Boston Bruins hosted an exclusive "Launch Party" to celebrate the unveiling of their new jerseys and logos. Current Boston players and other special guests were on hand to mingle with fans, pose for photos and speak with the media.
The players arrived in exotic autos, courtesy of the TD Banknorth Garden's latest amenity, The Otto Club, and were delivered to the red carpet in front of the club shortly before 8 p.m.
Both styles of the Bruins newly designed jerseys were auctioned off, and the proceeds were donated to Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF), with whom the Bruins are very proud to partner. BCYF is Boston's largest youth and human service agency and provides assistance, apparel and sporting equipment to area youth.
Bruins participants included Patrice Bergeron
, Zdeno Chara
, Tim Thomas
, Andrew Alberts, Mark Mowers, Brandon Bochenski and Aaron Ward.
Bob Sweeney, former Bruin and Director of Development for the Boston Bruins Foundation, was on hand to represent the Black & Gold's strong alumni base.
"It is great," said assistant captain Patrice Bergeron
of the B's new look. "It looks really good and the new jerseys are really nice too.
"The whole thing looks really nice.
"It is very comfortable, a little tighter than it used to be, but still very comfortable," he said.
Captain Zdeno Chara
"I think they are very nice," said Chara. "They're similar to the old one we had, but with little adjustments from the past."

And the players weren't the only ones who were impressed. One very familiar face, long time fan and season ticket holder, Paula, was pleased with the changes.
"I saw the new uniforms on TV at the press conference today introducing Claude Julien," she said. "I think it is absolutely fantastic.
"I also love the new shoulder logos with the bear walking the opposite way than the old logo bear.
"So I love it and I can’t wait to go buy myself a jersey," said Paula.Click here to view a photo gallery of the event.
