It was my pleasure to have attended the 8th Annual Boston Bruins Charity Auction tonight.
Everyone at the party had an outstanding evening!
All the Boston Bruins were there in the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, meeting and greeting the guests and presenting an amazing set of auction items that were up for bid to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation.
Highlights of the evening: A group of first year Bruins sung happy 30th birthday to B’s Captain Zdeno Chara.
A chance to take rookie phenom Phil Kessel to school was auctioned off. Mr. Kessel will show up to school in the Boston Bruins Hummer.
Golf lessons from center Marc Savard were up for bid. The winner will join Savvy at the Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth.
"Hockey Legends," a beautiful framed artist proof by Tom Dunlay depicting Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, and Mark Messier, and autographed by all three men, was auctioned off.
Another lucky bidder won a chance to have Bruins defenseman, and Stanley Cup Champion, Aaron Ward run a clinic for their child’s hockey team.
But perhaps the most unique auction item was called "Lock Up in The Locker Room." One lucky kid and nine friends won the chance to host a sleepover in the Bruins Locker Room at the TD Banknorth Garden.
And what a spread! The diverse selection of food, drinks and desserts was overwhelming.
Needless to say, the most important thing about the night was that the Boston Bruins Foundation was the beneficiary of a lot of nice peoples’ generosity.
And special thanks goes out to all of the Bruins players and personnel who made the evening so successful.
Nice job guys!
