Boston Bruins Assign Spooner to Providence

Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, November 4, that the team has assigned forward Ryan Spooner to Providence (American Hockey League). 

Spooner skated two games with Boston this season, notching two assists, including his first NHL point on October 31 against the Anaheim Ducks at TD Garden.

Prior to joining Boston, Spooner appeared in eight games with the Providence Bruins, where the 21-year-old notched two goals and five assists for seven points.

The 5’11’’, 181-pound native of Kanata, Ontario was drafted by the Boston Bruins on the third round (45th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
