BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Wednesday, December 3, that the club has assigned forward Craig Cunningham to Providence (American Hockey League).
Cunningham has skated in three games with Boston this season. Last season, the 24-year-old forward skated in two games for Boston, including his NHL debut on December 17 against the Calgary Flames at TD Garden.
The winger has appeared in 18 games with Providence this season, tallying four goals (tied for third on team) with and nine assists (tied for third on the team) for 13 points (third on the team). Cunningham has competed in 244 AHL games with Providence from 2011-14, racking up 74 goals and 68 assists, while also skating in 24 playoff games for Providence during that span, accruing 6-9=15 totals.
The 5'10'', 184-pound native of Trail, BC was drafted by Boston in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
