With the home opener scant hours away, Bruins head coach Claude Julien said that establishing a good pattern at home is very important.
"Right now we are one game above .500 on the road," he explained. "When you can play at least .500 or better (during road games) you usually have success as long as you are good at home.
"I think that is what we have to do now, establish an identity and a presence at home (and be) a hard team to beat in our own building.
"And that's what we have to do starting tomorrow," said Julien.
But the Bruins must maintain the discipline and structure that they have already shown on the West Coast, here on the East Coast.
"It is one of those situations where you have to bring the type of game that you played on the road and (you don't want to try) to get too fancy at home, or put on a show," said Coach. "A lot of times that will end up coming up to bite you."
The Bruins have to remember to do the biting.
"We have to remember what gave us success on that road trip," said Julien. "It was hard work. It was making the right plays at the right time and smart decisions. We need to keep doing that (here) at home."
In comparison to the road trip, there is one big change at home, however.
"That's having our fans behind us," said the coach.Today's lines...White:

I got an amazing response to my article about the "Don't Tread On Me" flag. And several people sent in their own rendition of the flag as it might be used by the B's. Jeff in Toronto sent this one:
Thanks to Jeff and to everyone who sent in a graphic!
