Bear Essentials: Thus it begins...

I bring good news…

Bruins centers Glen Metropolit (absent for two practices and most of the third period last Sunday), Marc Savard (out of the lineup since a crosscheck from Montreal's Steve Begin on March 22) and Patrice Bergeron (concussion, Oct. 27th) were all on the ice to start this morning's practice and all were wearing regular (meaning full-contact) jerseys.

No official update has been given, however, thus far, none of the three seem to be exhibiting any issues.

Line rushes are the order of the day, with lots of rest and explanations in between reps.

Jeremy Reich was applauded loudly for a nice move, and a goal, against one of the goalies.

BTW: All three centers remain on the ice.

It's good to see all of the formerly injured players looking sharp on the eve of the playoffs and, as a whole, the Bruins look relaxed and ready.

Now we are on to some power play/penalty kill drills.

The team is about to depart for the airport. Be sure to check out Aaron Ward's chat at 4:00 p.m.
