Another Unique Event

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins Foundation will host the first Boston Bruins Casino Night at The Westin Copley Place on Sunday, February 20 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.

"I think it’s a great way to interact with our players," said Boston Bruins Foundation Director of Development Bob Sweeney. "They’ll be at a particular table -- whether it’s a craps table, blackjack, roulette, whatever it may be -- and you’ll have that interaction time to talk with them...and just get that personal one-on-one time you don’t usually get at events."

A unique night that will feature the entire B's roster, Bruins management and many Black & Gold alumni, Casino Night will bring together the excitement of craps, double roulette, blackjack, Texas Hold'em and Wheel of Fortune with silent and live auctions.

"Yeah, we’ll have some player experiences, obviously, and some memorabilia from the Bruins and other teams," said Sweeney of the night's offerings. "There will also be some unique one of a kind auction items you can’t really get unless you come to these events."

And if you play your cards right, you might find yourself in an actual Las Vegas casino.

"The grand prize [for] the highest chip winner is going to be a jetBlue Getaway, which is two tickets on jetBlue and a round trip to Vegas and three nights at The Venetian," explained Sweeney.

Boston Bruins Casino Night will round out the Foundation's offerings for the 2010-11 season.

"This is our [Foundation's] last team event for the year," explained Sweeney. "Then the guys have to focus...on the playoff run here and get themselves ready for the upcoming playoffs.

"So, this is the last opportunity that you’ll get that chance for this year until next year's golf tournament."

The Foundation hopes that fans are excited for their most interesting event to date.

"We’re trying to mix and match and combine some charity auction items with the experience of an event and have it themed," said Sweeney.
