St. Louis Blues Head Coach Mike Yeo has been named associate coach for Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Championship, which will be held May 4-20 in Copenhagen and Herning, Denmark.

Yeo will join Carolina Hurricanes' coach Bill Peters (head coach) and Florida Panthers coach Bob Boughner (assistant coach) behind Team Canada's bench during the tournament.

Yeo served as an assistant coach at the 2016 IIHF World Championship in Russia, helping Canada earn a gold medal.

In 114 regular-season games behind the bench for the Blues, Yeo has posted a 66-40-6 record (.614 winning-percentage). He got off to the best start by a head coach in franchise history, going 7-1-0 after being promoted to head coach on Feb. 1, 2017.

In 11 playoff games under Yeo, the Blues have a 6-5 record.

Blues Assistant General Manager Martin Brodeur will also serve as a co-general manager for Team Canada at the World Championship.
