ST. LOUIS - ’Tis the season of giving, but Brian Elliott is taking away.
Elliott was a regular scrooge Sunday afternoon in Dallas, especially when he robbed Ales Hemsky with this miraculous glove save in the second period.
“Sometimes you get those, sometimes you don’t,” Elliott said after the game.
Well at least he’s a humble scrooge.
Elliott made 35 saves in a 3-0 loss to the Stars, including these two dandies on Jordie Benn.
“He was outstanding,” Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said after the game. “That’s the part that disappoints everybody here, is he battled like crazy. He made great saves, he kept us right there.”
