ST. LOUIS – Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will represent Russia at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The Russian Hockey Federation announced their 25-man roster on Monday.
Tarasenko will be making his first appearance in the Olympic games. The Yaroslavl native has previously represented his country four times: in the 2009 and 2010 World Junior Championships and in the 2011 World Championships, where he served as captain of the Russian team.
This season, the 6-foot, 219-pound forward ranks sixth on the Blues among forwards with 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists) in 41 games. His 13 goals are tied for fourth with Chris Stewart.
