Sundqvist sustains lower-body injury in Tampa Bay

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

UPDATE (Nov. 30) - Blues Head Coach Craig Berube says Sundqvist's injury is not as bad as originally thought. Berube says the injury won't be long-term.

TAMPA BAY - St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist left Wednesday's game against Tampa Bay with a lower-body injury in the second period and did not return.

Sundqvist tried to avoid a hit along the boards with Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Luke Schenn and appeared to be injured on the play.

Before the injury, Sundqvist had scored two goals in the second period, just 3:09 apart.

Through 26 games this season, Sundqvist has posted eight goals and four assists (12 points).
