ST. LOUIS - SSG Nathan Nenninger hadn't seen his family in almost a year.
But that all changed on Saturday night.

During a stoppage in play during the first period of the St. Louis Blues' 4-3 win against the New York Islanders, Nenninger's wife - Jessica - and her three children were featured on the scoreboard at Scottrade Center for what they thought was an intermission game called "Truth or Bear."
As it turned out - the game was just a set up for a big surprise, which was revealed when Nenninger stepped out from behind a curtain to greet his family.
"I had no idea," Jessica said. "They said we were going to play a game and the kids could get a cool prize and get to meet Louie. I had no idea."
Nathan had been deployed to Afghanistan for the past year and wasn't scheduled to return home until next week.
"This is the first time in six years I've helped set up a surprise (for my wife) and didn't rat on myself," Nathan said. "I'm very proud of myself for not giving up this surprise.
"It's good to be home."
