ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has placed forward Vladimir Sobotka on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
Sobotka has missed three games and did not travel on the team's two-game road trip to Edmonton and Calgary.
The 26-year-old has appeared in 31 games this season, posting 15 points (five goals and 10 assists) to go along with a league-leading 61.8% win rate on faceoffs. For his career, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound forward has totaled 105 points (31 goals, 74 assists) and 246 penalty minutes in 351 games.
The Trebic, Czech Republic native was originally acquired by the Blues from Boston in exchange for David Warsofsky on June 26, 2010.
