Sobotka Activated from Injured Reserve

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Saturday that forward Vladimir Sobotka (vla-DIH-meer, suh-BOHT-kah) has been activated after starting the season on injured reserve.

Sobotka, 23, played in 61 games last season with Boston, registering 10 points (four goals, six assists) along with 30 penalty minutes.

The 5-10, 183-pound center has played in 134 National Hockey League (NHL) games over three seasons, recording 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) and 64 penalty minutes.

The Trebic, Czech Republic native was acquired by the Blues from Boston in exchange for the rights to David Warsofsky on June 26, 2010 and he was originally drafted by the Bruins in the fourth round, 106th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
