ST. LOUIS – Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk has been activated from injured reserve.
Shattenkirk sustained a lower-body injury on Oct. 13 in the Blues' 4-3 against the Calgary Flames. He has missed 10 games with the injury but has continued to skate with the team.
"It's nice to finally be back," Shattenkirk said. "It was a weird injury, in that you just didn't really know when you were going to start feeling good. It felt like at any moment you could be back in the lineup, or at any moment you could be waiting another week. The last week or two has been a good progression and I think finally it's come time to play some hockey.”
In three games this season, the Blues defenseman has posted one assist and six penalty minutes.
Defenseman Chris Butler was assigned to the Chicago Wolves on Thursday.
