ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has placed forward Brandon Saad on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
In addition, the team recalled forward Jake Neighbours from its AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Saad, 30, has dressed in 46 games for the Blues this season, tallying 22 points (15 goals, seven assists) and six penalty minutes. Overall, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native has appeared in 12 NHL seasons, including stints with Chicago, Columbus, Colorado and St. Louis, amassing 442 points (223 goals, 219 assists) and 136 penalty minutes in 756 career regular-season games.
Currently in his second season with the Blues, Saad was originally signed as a free agent on July 29, 2021.
Neighbours, 20, has dressed in 27 games for the Blues this season, logging eight points (four goals, four assists) and nine penalty minutes. The Calgary, Alberta, native has also made 23 appearances for the Thunderbirds, recording 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) and two penalty minutes. Neighbours was drafted by the Blues in the first round, 26th overall, of the 2020 NHL Draft.
