Round 1 Schedule: Blues vs. Blackhawks

ST. LOUIS – The National Hockey League announced today the schedule for the first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Blues will host the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 of the 2016 Western Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 13 at 8:30 p.m. at Scottrade Center.

This year's matchup will mark the 12th all-time postseason matchup between the Blues and Blackhawks and the first since the 2014 Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Blues own a 24-32 all-time postseason mark against the Blackhawks, including victories in two of the last three series (1993, 2002).

During the 2015-16 regular season, the Blues won three of five meetings with the Blackhawks, including one via shootout and two in overtime. Overall, the Blues finished second in the Central Division and the Western Conference with 107 points (49-24-9). It was the club's third consecutive 100-point season and eighth overall, while it was the fifth time the Blues reached 49 wins.
