CALGARY - Jacob de la Rose will make his Blues debut on Saturday night in Calgary (9 p.m. CT, FSMW, 101 ESPN) by taking the injured Alexander Steen's place on the third line with Tyler Bozak and Sammy Blais.
"Bozak's really good with people and making people feel comfortable as a player," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said. "And (Bozak) does so many good things that he's easy to play with. So that's part of (why de la Rose is on the third line). And the other part of it, I didn't want to mess with that fourth line right now. They're going good."
De la Rose was acquired Wednesday night in a trade that sent Robby Fabbri to the Detroit Red Wings.
"He's got to get games and get up to speed on how we play and do things," Berube added. "It's not going to happen overnight but hopefully he can get in there and give us a jolt right away. And he'll be fine."
