Projected Lineup: Jan. 2 vs. Chicago

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues held a team practice on New Year's Day at Busch Stadium to prepare for their meeting with the Chicago Blackhawks in Monday's 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, which is scheduled for a noon puck drop.

Forwards Jaden Schwartz and Nail Yakupov missed practice due to being sick, so it's unknown whether they'll be able to play.

Assuming they report to the rink and can play, this is what we'd expect the lineup to look like for the Blues' first-ever outdoor game.

Forwards

Alexander Steen - Paul Stastny - David Perron
Jaden Schwartz - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko
Robby Fabbri - Patrik Berglund - Dmitrij Jaskin
Scottie Upshall - Kyle Brodziak - Ryan Reaves

Defense

Joel Edmundson - Alex Pietrangelo
Carl Gunnarsson - Kevin Shattenkirk
Jay Bouwmeester - Colton Parayko

Goalie

Jake Allen
