BLUES AT GOLDEN KNIGHTS

WHAT TO WATCH

The St. Louis Blues will get their first look at Alex Pietrangelo in a Vegas Golden Knights uniform on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena. Pietrangelo, who was drafted by the Blues and served as captain for four seasons, signed a seven-year, 61.6 million contract with Vegas in the offseason.
Pietrangelo spent 12 seasons with the Blues and ranks fifth in games played (758), third in assists (341), ninth in points (450) and became the first Blues player to lift the Stanley Cup in 2019. Amongst defensemen, Pietrangelo ranks second in games played behind Barret Jackman (803) and second in points behind Al MacInnis (452).
Through six games with Vegas, Pietrangelo has one goal and two assists (three points) and a plus-1 rating this season.

WHAT HE'S SAYING

"I knew this day was coming eventually, so I've been joking that I guess if you're gonna do it, just do it eight times in one year and get past it. I feel comfortable about it, just ready to get it over with to continue to move forward." - Alex Pietrangelo on facing the Blues for the first time

TEAM SNAPSHOTS

BLUES The St. Louis Blues are seeking more consistency in their two-game sets against division opponents this season.
In the first game of a series, the Blues are 3-0.
In the second game, they're 0-2-1.
"I think we think it's going to be easier than it is sometimes because we got the first win, and it's certainly not," Brayden Schenn said after a 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. "In the second game, we've been very average and we have got to fix that… It's already been talked about, but we have to do more than talking. We have to go out and fix it and make sure we are grabbing the second (game). It's early, we've got a lot of (second games) left, and we've got to fix that problem or else we're going to be an average .500 hockey club."
"It's caused by attitude. Our attitude has to be better," added Blues Head Coach Craig Berube. "We've got to pull together as a team, that's what it's all about. We've shown it at times, and we've won hockey games, but the consistency is not there. Compete, work and all that, that's attitude. That's just all attitude."

Blues ahead of meeting with the Golden Knights

GOLDEN KNIGHTS One team that hasn't had any trouble winning the first and second game of a division series is the Vegas Golden Knights.
Vegas is coming off a 1-0 win against the Arizona Coyotes and has won three of four games this season against Arizona.
The Golden Knights are 5-1 on the season.
"You're approaching these like a playoff series, you're trying to bank as many points as possible," said Vegas Head Coach Pete DeBoer.
Through six games, Vegas has alternated goaltenders. Marc-Andre Fleury is 3-0 and earned a 16-save shutout Sunday, while Robin Lehner is 2-1-0 and likely to be in net against the Blues.
Mark Stone, who was named the first captain for Vegas, leads the team with eight points (two goals, six assists) in six games this season.
HEAD-TO-HEAD The Blues have collected at least one point in all nine of their games against Vegas but have dropped each of the last two meetings in overtime.
Zach Sanford scored four goals against Vegas on Feb. 13 - one of just eight four-goal efforts in team history.
