Polak to Play for Czech Olympic Team

The Czech Republic announced its roster for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, and Blues defenseman Roman Polak has been selected to join the team.


Polak becomes the first Blues player to be included on a team. Team USA will unveil its roster on Jan. 1.

Polak has played in 39 games for the Blues this season and has 2 goals and 5 assists for the team. He is a +2 and has 26 penalty minutes.

The Blues selected Polak in the 6th round (180th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
