Jeff Bone was determined to be the first person to buy tickets for the Stanley Cup Playoffs at Wednesday’s 10 a.m. public on sale.
To make sure, he lined up outside Scottrade Center on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m., nearly 14 hours before tickets even became available.
“This is my life. I bleed blue,” Bone said Wednesday. “I wanted to be the first one (in line) and I was. I had my Blues blanket and my computer and I watched Season One of Sons of Anarchy.”
By 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a line of Blues fans had begun to form.
“My mom delivered me and we came straight here,” Bone said. “I’ve been a Blues fan since the day I was born.”
Bone left with two tickets to Game 2, while other fans purchased Playoff Strips (tickets to all home games for Rounds 1 and 2). While they waited for the Box Office to open, they were entertained by Louie.
Tickets for Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs (Home Games 1 and 2) or Playoff Strips are available now at the Ford Box Office at Scottrade Center, at St. Louis Mills or Ticketmaster.com
The Blues’ first round opponent will be determined when the regular season ends on Saturday night, while their first round schedule is expected to be released on Sunday.
