Players Evaluate Their NHL 15 Models

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - It's September, which means EA Sports has released their latest entry in the NHL video game series. NHL 15 hit stores last week and is making it's first appearance on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

While I'm disappointed that T.J. Oshie didn't win the cover vote this summer, I will admit I'm a big fan of the game. Speaking from my own experience, the gameplay and presentation this year is top notch (I mean, simply having Doc Emerick do the play-by-play takes the game to an entirely new level).

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to take a few screenshots and ask our players to briefly critique the digital versions of themselves. This is what they had to say:

"That looks pretty cool. It's not bad. Send me that for my instagram."

"Pretty good. Wrong helmet, but they do have the tinted visor. They've even got a couple scars in there. They did a pretty good job."

"That's pretty good. I don't have a red beard or goatee, but I can live with that. My shoulders aren't that big, though."

"Woah...I think that's dead accurate."

"It looks like they can tell the future because I was going to cut my hair (that short) tomorrow. I think they did a pretty good job, though. I almost kinda look like (Nathan) MacKinnon a little bit."

"'s pretty close I guess. As long as they remembered to put me in the game, I'm happy."

And one more thing - in my game, Tarasenko scored the game-winning goal against the Chicago Blackhawks with just 19.6 seconds left on the clock. Blues fans could get used to a highlight like this one. How about that celebration, Vladi?
