HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo participated in a complete practice Wednesday at the team’s practice facility and is inching closer to returning to the lineup.
Pietrangelo sustained a lower-body injury in a 4-1 win vs. Minnesota on Feb. 6 and was expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
“He just looks normal,” Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said after practice. “This is really the first full practice for him. He’s going to get another good one tomorrow, and another good one on Friday.”
Hitchcock said Pietrangelo won’t play Thursday against the Rangers, but a return Saturday against Nashville is not out of the question.
Pietrangelo has played 55 games this season, posting 23 points (three goals, 20 assists).
