ST. LOUIS - Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo has been nominated for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for the 2017-18 season.
The award is given to the player who "best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."

Pietrangelo served in his second season as the team's captain in 2017-18, playing in 78 games and posting career highs in goals (15) and points (54).
Recently,
Pietrangelo and several of his teammates donated new hockey sticks and gear
to the Blues Special Hockey Club.
The King Clancy nominees will be narrowed down to three finalists on Monday, April 30, and the trophy will be presented at the 2018 NHL Awards at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 20. The winner will receive a $40,000 donation from the National Hockey League Foundation to benefit a charity of his choice, and the two runners-up will each receive a $5,000 donation for a charity of their choice.
