St. Louis Blues prospect Scott Perunovich was named the American Hockey League's Player of the Week on Monday.

Perunovich, who won back-to-back national championships with University of Minnesota-Duluth before claiming the Hobey Baker Award as the top collegiate player in the country in 2020, posted one goal and five assists in three games over the weekend with the Blues' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Perunovich has scored in each of his first five AHL games this season and leads all AHL players in assists (8) and points (9) in the 2021-22 season.
The 23-year-old defenseman was selected by the Blues in the second round (No. 45 overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
As of Monday, the Thunderbirds were 4-0-1-0 this season and lead the AHL's Atlantic Division.
