Days after David Perron scored a highlight reel goal vs. the New York Islanders, people around the league were still talking.

With one goal in the game already, Perron took a pass from Carlo Colaiacovo and split two defenders, then passed the puck between his legs to fool Islanders' defenseman Mark Streit. With one guy left to beat, Perron cut across and swept the puck past Islanders' netminder Dwayne Roloson.

"We practice those kind of moves," Perron said after the game. "You react to what's open, what's available. It worked, so it was fun. I'm glad it worked out tonight."

Perron said in terms of individual achievements, the goal ranks pretty high for him.

Said teammate Patrik Berglund: "That's (Perron's) dangling skills. He shows that every day at practice, and finally he got a hot goal like that."
