NASHVILLE - Magnus Paajarvi returned to the lineup on Feb. 2 vs. Nashville after missing seven games with an upper-body injury.
Paajarvi played 12 minutes, 49 seconds and registered three shots on goal in his return, including a great chance in the third period that was denied by Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne.
“(I just need to) simplify everything, really,” Paajarvi said before the game. “Try some early changes and maybe get a bump or two. If I get a hit, that’s the big thing. It’s going to be rusty for sure, but just deal with it and it’ll be fine, I think.”
Paajarvi returned on a line with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko.
“I love playing with them. Their names speak for themselves,” Paajarvi said of the line. “Stastny is an unbelievable player that creates space for you, and Vladi has one of the league’s best shots. We’ve had some success, I think we can have way more.”
Through 33 games this season, Paajarvi has scored two goals and three assists.
