Ott to Undergo Hamstring Surgery

UPDATE: Steve Ott had successful surgery on his right hamstring on Tuesday. Surgery was performed by Dr. Rick Wright and Dr. Matt Smith of Washington University Orthopedics.

ST. LOUIS - Blues forward Steve Ott will be sidelined for three months following an injury sustained in the first period Saturday vs. Toronto.

Ott will undergo surgery on his hamstrings next week.

The injury occurred when Ott finished a check on Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf and fell awkwardly into the boards. He was helped to the locker room after the first period and did not return to the game.

In 21 games this season, Ott has recorded two assists and 34 penalty minutes.
