ST. PAUL, MN - Blues forward T.J. Oshie
was hit high by Minnesota Wild forward Mike Rupp with 9:30 left in second period on Thursday.
Oshie was slow to get up and did not return to the game. Rupp was given a 10-minute match penalty for intent to injure. On Friday, the NHL Department of Player Safety gave Rupp a four-game suspension for an illegal hit to the head.
"Obviously Osh is out. He's like everything else at this time of year, he's day-to-day," Hitchcock said after the game. "But certainly a tough hit to take right now."
In 78 games played this season, Oshie has 21 goals and 39 assists (60 points). The Blues are already without Vladimir Tarasenko (hand) and David Backes (lower-body).
