HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Blues forward Jori Lehtera was back at practice on Thursday and said he was “pretty sure” he’d be ready to return to the lineup Sunday when the Blues meet the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
Lehtera took a redirected puck to the face on Feb. 25 against the New York Rangers and left the game in the first period. He said Thursday he needed several stitches and experienced headaches afterwards.
Lehtera participated in a light skate on Wednesday, but was back in his usual spot on Thursday: centering Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko.
“I feel pretty good,” he said. “It was a good practice today and I hope I feel good the whole day… I’m ready to play again.”
