ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that goaltender Manny Legace has been placed on the injured reserve list after tweaking his right knee in warmups on Tuesday night in Calgary. The club has recalled goaltender Marek Schwarz from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Schwarz, 21, has played in 11 games with the Rivermen this season, posting a 4-3-1-2 record, a .900 save percentage along with a 2.30 goals against average. He made his NHL debut last season with the Blues on Dec. 12, 2006 vs. Chicago.
The Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic native was originally the Blues’ first round choice, 17th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
