A recent poll by Sports Illustrated confirms what Blues fans have known for years: D.J. King is one of the toughest fighters in the NHL.

In the current issue of Sports Illustrated, a poll of 272 NHL players revealed that King ranks as one of the Top 5 most feared fighters in the league. He joins Minnesota's Derek Boogaard, Toronto's Colton Orr, New York's Jody Shelley and Boston's Zdeno Chara.

The Sports Illustrated issue hits newsstands Wednesday, Apr. 7.

In 11 games this season, King has 33 penalty minutes.

He has 100 career NHL games on his resume, including 185 penalty minutes. He has 4 goals and 5 assists.

King was drafted by the Blues in 2002 with their sixth round pick (190th overall).
