Janssen's Hits to Benefit Charity

by Staff Writer / St. Louis Blues
ST. LOUIS – Cam Janssen will put a $25 price tag on each of his checks this season to benefit The Fisher House.

The Fisher House’s “Hit Tracker” will document Janssen’s body checks
until the end of the season at which point he will write a check for the accumulated total.

In 206 NHL games, the Eureka, MO native has delivered 325 hits. His most bruising season in a BlueNote came last year when he dished out 73 hits in 43 appearances.

The Fisher House supports America’s military by recognizing the sacrifices of men and women in uniform and the hardships of their military service by exceeding their humanitarian needs.

For example, Fisher House Foundation donates “comfort homes” which are built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers to ensure family members that they can be close to their loved ones during unexpected hospitalization.

Annually, Fisher House serves more than 11,000 families and since their origination in 1990, they have made available nearly three million days of lodging to family members of military personnel.
