ST. LOUIS - Blues players Barret Jackman
and B.J. Crombeen
will participate as celebrity cyclists in the Tour de Unite on Saturday, September 3 at 10 a.m. in Francis Park in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood.
Jackman and Crombeen will kick off the festivities by riding tandem bicycles with members of the Tandem Adventurers Team, a group of youth cyclists who are blind or visually impaired from the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments. They will lead the parade of cyclists through the official Gateway Cup course and participants can then choose to take a 10, 30 or 50-mile marked ride throughout St. Louis, returning to Francis Park once completed.
Registration for adults is $30 which includes a commemorative dri fit shirt and children are $10.
“Cycling is a fun sport to watch and is great exercise. This unique tandem bike ride event gives kids who wouldn’t otherwise be able to ride a bike an opportunity to feel the wind on their faces, just like their peers,” explained Debbie Naucke, Executive Director, Delta Gamma Center.
Monica Adams, traffic reporter for FOX 2 News in the Morning will be the emcee.
