ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues announced Thursday that season ticket prices would decrease or remain the same for the upcoming 2011-12 season. The decrease, as much as 9%, includes nearly 1,200 seats. The “Ice Your Price” option will remain through April 9, 2011 and continues the franchise’s history of offering one of the most affordable pricing structures in the National Hockey League.
This past season, the club’s average ticket price was the 5th lowest overall.
After April 9, 2011, ticket prices will be adjusted (other than those that have been reduced – which will stay steady), seeing an average 7.5% increase.
“It is important for us to continue to provide our fans an entertaining environment at affordable prices,” said Blues Vice Chairman and CEO Mike McCarthy. “We will continue to be one of the most affordable ticket offerings in the league and hope our fans continue to support us with great attendance and enthusiasm as we have experienced this season.”
“From ownership, the direction is clear,” Doug Armstrong, Executive VP and General Manager said recently. “We need to win. We want to push for the playoffs, but we're not going to be a team that is satisfied with making the playoffs. Our goal is to be a championship team. Every deal, every waking moment that we spend is [about] becoming a championship team. Everything we do is with the ultimate prize in mind.”
As always, Season Ticket Holders will continue to receive a significant discount over gate pricing for Single Game Tickets. Additionally, they will receive special benefits such as our Iron Fan program to extending our Season Ticket Holder Appreciation opportunities. In addition, all Full Season Ticket Holders who renew by April 1, 2011 will receive a limited edition Bernie Federko Replica Statue which will complete the three-piece set (Brett Hull and Al MacInnis).
The Blues also plan to maintain the club’s tradition of offering Full Season Ticket Holders a host of memorable opportunities such as Town Hall Meeting at FanFest, post game skate parties on Scottrade Center ice and this year’s season ticket holder party with the players.
