ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will open the 2016-17 season on the road (Oct. 12 against the Chicago Blackhawks) but will return to Scottrade Center for their home opener on Thursday, Oct. 13 vs. the Minnesota Wild.
The Blues, who were part of the NHL’s expansion in 1967, will celebrate their 50th anniversary season when the puck drops in October.
The home opener will include festivities that honor the players and fans that made the team’s inaugural season so special. The club will also pay homage to the growth and history of the franchise throughout the year.
The 2016-17 season will also see a first in the Blues’ 50-year history: the club will meet the Chicago Blackhawks at Busch Stadium for the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.
The complete 2016-17 regular season schedule will be released at stlouisblues.com on Tuesday afternoon and will also be available in the Blues mobile app.
Fans can purchase full season, half season or 12-game ticket packages for the upcoming season now by calling 314-622-BLUE (2583) or by visiting stlouisblues.com/tickets. Single game tickets will be available at a later date.
