Goaltender Thomas Greiss announced his retirement from hockey after 14 seasons on Wednesday.

Greiss played his final season with the St. Louis Blues in 2022-23, recording a 7-10-0 record in 16 starts wearing the Blue Note.

Overall, Greiss posted a 162-130-37 record over 368 regular-season games for the Blues, Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks. Greiss became the first German-born goalie to play in 100 NHL games and claimed the Jennings Trophy, along with teammate Robin Lehner, for allowing the fewest goals in the regular season with the Islanders in 2018-19.
