  • The Blues handed the Stars their first shutout of the season and improved to 12-3-0 against Western Conference competition
  • David Backes celebrated Captains Night with his first career Gordie Howe hat-trick (goal, assist, fight).  Backes’ goal was his 52nd career power play marker and his 26th career game-winner.  He now shares 9th on the franchise power play goal list with Brendan Shanahan and 9th on the all-time game-winning goals list with Brad Boyes
  • Jake Allen made 26 saves and earned his 4th shutout of the season, which shares the League lead with Devan Dubnyk.  Allen is 2-0-0, while stopping 48 of 49 shots over his last two starts
  • Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 17th goal overall and his 11th on home ice.  Tarasenko ranks third overall in goals and shares second overall (Patrick Kane, Evgeni Malkin) in home goals this season
  • Alexander Steen’s assist extended his point streak to a season-high-tying four games (1g, 4a)
  • Kevin Shattenkirk notched an assist, extending his points streak to three games (1g, 3a)
  • Ryan Reaves scored his first goal of the season
