Game Notes - Blues 2, Lightning 1

  • The Blues won their third road game in-a-row and improved to 5-1-1 over their last seven road dates. Now with 73 points, the Blues are just four shy of Dallas for the Central Division lead. They will host Dallas on Tuesday at Scottrade Center
  • St. Louis has now won six of their last seven games against Eastern Conference competition
  • Brian Elliott made 37 saves for his 14th win of the year. The save total was Elliott's fourth highest this season while tonight marked the sixth time he has allowed a goal or less over his last nine starts. Overall, since taking over for the injured Jake Allen (since Jan. 8), Elliott has gone 9-3-3 with a 1.78 goals against average, a .945 save percentage and one shutout
  • Robby Fabbri notched his 13th goal overall, while participating in his first NHL career fight, with Tampa's Vladislav Namestnikov. Fabbri now shares 3rd amongst rookie skaters with eight road tallies this season (1. Sam Reinhart, 11).
  • Fabbri became the first Blues rookie forward to participate in a scrap since Ryan Reaves fought Colorado's Cody McLeod on Apr. 5, 2011
  • Patrik Berglund's third-period tally was his fourth goal overall and his second game-winner of the season. Berglund is riding a five-game point streak against the Lightning, including three goals and two assists
  • Paul Stastny logged an assist, giving him five points over his last five games (1g, 4a)
