Elliott Ties for Franchise Lead in Shutouts

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - With a shutout Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers, Brian Elliott recorded his 20th shutout as a Blue, moving him into a tie for first place in franchise history.

Elliott ties former teammate Jaroslav Halak, who also had 20 shutouts as a Blue.

"It's cool when you get individual accolades, but like we always say, when you get a shutout, especially in a game like that, it's a whole team thing," Elliott said. "It's a team stat with the guys that play in front of you. You're not alone out there."

Elliott's 20 shutouts since joining the Blues are second-most overall in the League and just one behind Los Angeles' Jonathan Quick (21).

Elliott is now 23-10-2 with a 2.14 goals-against average, a .922 save-percentage and four shutouts.
