If you’re looking for value picks in your DraftKings Daily Fantasy Hockey League, the St. Louis Blues boast a great option between the pipes.
Since Jake Allen sustained a lower-body injury on Jan. 8 in Anaheim and his return to the lineup is unknown, Brian Elliott has emerged as a top-notch option in goal for your team.
Elliott is 5-1-1 with a 2.14 goals-against average and a .936 save-percentage since Allen’s injury. In that seven game stretch, Elliott has allowed more than two goals just twice.
In fact, the Blues goalie ranks third in the NHL in win percentage since the 2011-12 season (.662), trailing only Anaheim’s Frederik Andersen (.691) and Washington’s Braden Holtby (.674).
Until Allen is ready to go, which certainly won’t be until after the All-Star Break, Elliott remains a top fantasy option.
Speaking of value picks, Blues rookie Robby Fabbri should top your list, too.
Fabbri ranks seventh among all rookies with 11 goals this season, six of which have been scored in the last month.
The 20-year-old has recently joined Vladimir Tarasenko and Jori Lehtera’s line, so expect his production to continue.
The Blues have played a League-most 50 games as of Jan. 21 and will play two more games before the All-Star break (Jan. 22 at Colorado and Jan. 24 at Chicago).
