Copley Signs One-Year Deal
by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis BluesST. LOUIS - The Blues have signed goalie Pheonix Copley to a one-year, two-way contract.
Earlier Friday, the club also signed goalie Jordan Binnington to a similiar deal, shoring up the goaltending situation for their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
Copley was acquired by the Blues last summer in a trade that also brought Troy Brouwer to St. Louis. Last season, Copley played in 37 games with the Wolves, posting a 15-16-3 record, a 2.79 goals-against average and a .909 save-percentage.
Copley, Binnington and 2014 draft pick Ville Husso could all compete for playing time with the Wolves this season.
