Blues Trim Training Camp Roster to 37

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday the club has reduced its roster to 36 players.

Defensemen Daryl Boyle, Mark Cundari, Forwards Anthony Peluso, Philip McRae, Anthony Nigro, Tyler Shattock, Stefan Della Rovere, and Goaltenders Jake Allen and Gerald Coleman were assigned to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

In addition, defensemen Brett Ponich (Portland) and David Shields (Erie) as well as forwards Cody Beach (Calgary), Stephen MacAulay (Saint John) and Chris DeSousa (London) were assigned to their junior teams.

The Blues will travel to Colorado on Sunday for their second preseason date with the Avalanche before returning home for their final two home preseason games, Thursday, Sept. 30 vs. Chicago and Saturday, Oct. 2 vs. Dallas.

St. Louis will then conclude their preseason Sunday, Oct. 3 in Chicago prior to returning home to open their regular season schedule Saturday, Oct. 9 against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Philadelphia Flyers at Scottrade Center.
